PZH position on stainless steel planting
Due to the diverse market practice and the demand of our environment, stainless steel trading and production companies concentrated in the Stainless Steel Association (SSN) applied to the Institute's Food Safety Department of the National Institute Public Health – State Department of Hygiene (PZH) asking for a position on the issue of Hygienic certificates (AH) and Health Quality Certificates (SJZ) for stainless steel metallurgical products, serving as material for the manufacture of products food and treatment and water distribution.
PZH's position expressly identifies producers of final products in contact with food and for the treatment and distribution of water (rather than producers/distributors of stainless steel products) as entities responsible for the possession of AH and SJZ, which is in line with the applicable legal basis.
In accordance with pzh's opinion issued at the request of the SSN, the association's member companies shall cease to apply and show AH and SJZ on stainless steel metallurgical products. It is recommended that companies distributing stainless steel in Poland should join a homogeneous commercial practice in this regard.
