21 million tonnes – production in 1. half-year of 2015
Issf has published data on global stainless steel production for the 6 months of 2015. They show that, after years of increasing global production, it was slowed down. Production reached 21,094 million tonnes, a decrease of 0.7% compared to the 6 months of 2014.
North America recorded the biggest growth year-on-year. and North Africa. – 4.8% and China by only 0.7%. Other regions have seen declines.
In Q2 '15 production increased by 6.4% compared to Q1 '15.
